I've been reading hear for a bit now and it seems like it doens't take long for a false statement to get bashed. It is better to either have the proof or as stated make sure you say this is a rumor...

It Is WRONG To Make Threads About What The Watchtower Is Doing If You Do Not Have Facts To Back It Up!!!
by minimus ini think we should not make statements about what the watchtower society is secretly doing if we can not substantiate the statements.. we do not know if a "bethelite" is doing whatever he claims to be doing clandestinely.
when we make threads or statements about things we have absolutely no proof of, we are making ourselves look bad.. when impressionable people read these things, it sets our efforts back immensely.. please think about what you're doing.
it's counter-productive!.

I'm not sure how long I can stay married to the Witnesses
by wifeofjw ini don't post often, but i lurk a lot.
i have fonund the information to be helpful and encouraging.. however, i'm not sure how much longer i can take being married to the jw's.. i have a wonderful husband, but he believes everything this cult tells him.
most recently he has decided that because the end is near we don't have to worry about our bills.

I hope the best for you Wifeofjw. I think the wife making the money is a USA "problem" I supported my EX JW he ALWAYS used the "cult" as an excuse not to go to school, get a good job. I went to school and when I started to bring in a paycheck (nurse) he started to work less and less...He also kept the money and all our savings when I left CREEP! At work I'd say the majority of girl nurses are the bread winner! but my new husband makes more then me.

Welcome c/c and others that don't write anything. The fact that you are here gives you hope that some day you will read that one thing that opens your eyes. As far as "why leave" we all need to make that decission for ourselves. My life is so much happier since I left. Yes, had to go through the pain of shunning, but the other side is freedom!

Introduction
by dontplaceliterature inbefore i begin my introductory post, i would like to mention that a number of my initial comments here may be viewed by several of you as watchtower apologist or as sympathetic to the views of the jehovahs witnesses.
the last thing i want to do is incite a flame war regarding my legitimacy or intentions in joining this forum.
mostly, i would describe myself as on the fence.

welcome! I had many of your same thoughts. It took me a few years to go from questions to 100% out. The love is what kept me in and the lack of love is what made me leave. It was an eye opener. Read and learn and keep that great open mindedness
